Casio FC-1000
Next to everybody's favorite financial calculator, the HP-12C, the FC-1000 must be one of the best business/financial calculators around. It is also one of the very few with true programmability, not to mention graphics.
Sadly, Casio's formula programming language has been slightly gutted for this model. Presumably to make room for the financial functions, essential capability such as trigonometric functions have been removed, as were functions that allowed graphics manipulation from within a program.
Even with these limitations, the FC-1000 nevertheless represents s pleasant package. Very small and compact when closed, sturdy even when open, it has a touch keyboard that works reliably.
Graphing a user-defined function is out of the question, so I cannot plot my favorite programming example, the Gamma function, using this calculator. However, I was able to provide a very accurate implementation of this function. All the more useful as the Gamma function forms the basis of many statistical computations, so a reliable implementation must be of value on a calculator aimed at the business/financial market:
