fx5000f.jpg (22970 bytes)Another interesting Casio calculator: this one provides, in addition to a fairly generous 675-step formula memory, up to 128 built-in formulae from a variety of scientific disciplines. Although the programming model is simplistic (straightforward mathematical formulae can be stored, but there is no conditional evaluation, loops, or other true programming features) the machine lacks the limitations found on many similar calculators: for instance, an individual formula can occupy all available room in formula memory. Thanks to this, it is actually possible to implement something as complex as the Gamma function on this device:
